Joe Higgins began his legal career with the Cook County States Attorney’s Office where he gained valuable trial experience as a prosecutor for the City of Chicago for two years. He was then offered a position as an insurance defense attorney with The Law Offices of Sweeny & Riman in the City of Chicago where he spent the next five years of his career. In 1995 Joe joined Hennessy & Roach P.C. as a partner where he is currently practicing as an insurance defense attorney. Eventually Joe became a member of the Management Committee as well as a member of the Commissions Committee and Hiring Committee. Joe earned a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science from the University of Florida. He then earned a Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Joe has been practicing for 34 years as a member of the Illinois Bar. His sole area of practice as an equity partner with Hennessy & Roach has been defending employers and carriers in workers' compensation litigation.
