Aukse R. Grigaliunas began her career defending Workers' Compensation claims on behalf of Illinois employers in 2004, and came to Hennessy & Roach in 2007. Aukse has been a partner at Hennessy & Roach since 2013. Aukse's favorite part of handling workers' compensation claims is appellate work. She enjoys the appeals process beginning at the Commission level - namely preparing briefs and participating in oral arguments, and she has appeared before the Illinois Appellate Court about every other year throughout her practice. Aukse earned a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, majoring in English, from Marquette University in 2000, where she was also heavily involved in theater productions as a Stage Manager and building sets. Aukse then earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2003 from Chicago-Kent College of Law. During law school, Aukse studied abroad at the University of Melbourne in Australia, where she earned a Graduate Diploma in International Law. Aukse is admitted to the Illinois Bar, and focuses 100% of her practice defending employers and carriers in Workers' Compensation litigation in Illinois. Aukse resides in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago with her husband Brian, and her four lovely stepchildren, Anna, Noah, Elijah, and Clara.
